Unreal Engine Cannon Project Source Files
For this project, we will embark on the creation of a cannon, utilizing the full asset production pipeline to bring it to life. Our process begins with gathering references and establishing the correct scale for the model. Next, we’ll block out the basic shapes and create a proxy mesh, ensuring it is suitable for integration with other departments. The journey continues with the creation of a first-pass game resolution model, or "protomesh," which we will then refine, increasing the resolution of the meshes and sending them to ZBrush for high-resolution sculpting. Upon completing the sculpt, we will finalize the in-game model with detailed UV mapping. Both the game-res and high-res versions will be passed to Substance Painter for texture baking and material creation. The final step involves assembling and rendering the complete asset within Unreal Engine, ensuring it is optimized and ready for use in the game environment.
